Sandusky River (Sandusky, Seneca counties) - Anglers can catch crappies, white bass, smallmouth bass, and maybe a few walleyes above the Ballville dam during the winter months. Throw in-line spinnerbaits for smallmouths on the stretch of the river that runs through Tiffin.

Findlay Reservoirs No. 1 and No. 2 (Hancock County) - As long as open water remains, anglers can catch crappies at No. 2 by casting tube jigs near the launch. Try 1/16- to 1/8-ounce jigs with your color of choice. Try for yellow perch at No. 2 by fishing minnows on the bottom. These reservoirs are also good spots to try when the ice comes on.

The Lake Erie Shoreline Piers (Ottawa County) - The night bite off of many Lake Erie piers is starting to produce some nice walleyes.
