I had tied the crayfish pattern last year to use in the mad, but never got around to it... even thought about hitting backwater areas of the GMR for smallies with them... I usually go by rockcliff spring... fish right by that fallen down tree with a white tube jig, throw a couple maggots on, and reel in slow and work it alittle and I usually get one or two nice steelies. I have also had luck with black and gold fly jigs...
