We went out to the sand bar today and did ok. I ended up with 5 and a perch, just couldn't get that last fish. We tried a bunch of different combos and what produced the most was chrome jet divers, 3 ounce 120 back, and 3 ounce 60 back. We tried from 120 back and as far up as 50 back. We were fishing with worm harnesses. Had fun only one sheepshead, and a bonus perch. All nice sized fish the biggest two were 5 and 6 pounds. We caught most everything at 34/16 on the good ol gps. Good ...

Another one fish day

Went out on my uncle's boat to do some walleye fishing

Went about six miles out of Lorain harbor and it didn't take to long for my uncle to nail a walleye

Sadly it was the only fish of the day

Anyhow Lake Erie was super crowded...... a ton of people trolling...... heard on the radio that they were having a 10-12 fish day

From the ODNR

Steelhead: Rivers have moderate to high flows and are off-color. Smaller streams will clear first, but forecasted rains will reverse this trend. Many fish have moved far up in the rivers and streams. Some fresh fish have moved into the lower sections of the rivers and small streams. The first wave of steelhead have been stocked for 2009, please gently release any smolts you may catch.

Yesterday we hit up Cranberry for the first time this year. We had a good report from the day Ike rolled in thatthe eyes were crushing out there so we decided to give it a shot. After the 40mi. drive we got there paid $6.00 now to launch! Then headed out. Stright in frontof the castle in 16ft. of water. Wasn't long till one of the boards went down on what I thought was a snag... Boy was I wrong! It started to run and I was getting a bit pumped. After a long battle I got in a 28in. sheephead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...

Report from Ohiooutdoor news-http://ohiooutdoornews.com

Steelhead: At Cleveland Metroparks, due to constraints of a supplier coupled with the projected weather forecast, trout stocking was scheduled for Feb. 6. Also, anglers have been catching trout at first light in the morning and as it gets dark in the evenings on jigging spoons such as Swedish Pimples. Some anglers have reported the best fishing only a few feet down. The bite during the day has been very slow. Additionally, a fair amount ...
