We've had 2 minor acculations the past few days. Last Night it even stuck and has bee here throughout the day. It won't be long till ice and I can't wait! Indian Lake had ice on the channs this morning and my local river did too! It feels good I hope this lasts awhile.... Whats it like in your area?

11 "Qualifying Members" fished in the 2008 TCBA Catfish Classic Tournament Held on the Tuscarawas River In New Philadelphia, Ohio !! The weather was Tough with a Temp of 46 degrees at the start of the tournament with temps dropping into mid 30s by quitting time !! We had a light drizzling rain and winds gusting to 20 mph throughout the night !! The fishing was tough but a few fish were turned in ..........here are the results:

River Fishing Slowing down

Headed up river in the Portage on Sunday. Hit a few summer holes and there wasn't a thing hitting! took kim and boys out yesterday afternoon from noon to three. hit mccomb again. caught lots of bluegills, but only 18 keepers. had to work pretty hard to get them this time, and waxworm or minnow were the baits that worked. fish started hitting around 1 and then at 3pm some black clouds rolled in, that was the end of it, not another hit after that. the bluegills were 7 and 8 inchers again. we had fun anyways, found some deer tracks and the boys followed them all around, then made some of their ...

First day last monday I think I was walking past three scrapes within 50ft of my tree stand when the neighbor is in a climber right on top of them,,, Like I said 50ft from my stand turns out late that eve I would see two does behind me w/o any shots

Next I went to the same spot thurs night no one around had one deer walk 50yds in front of me at dark.

went yesterday afternoon to bluffton quarry about 2:30 . fished frenzy medium diver crank bait; blue back white belly. ran it right down the walls and let it bang the rocks. caught 2- 4 pound largemouth and 1- 2 pounder. beats up the crankbait a little bit, but its worth it when those big 4 pound slobs grab it. better be holding on! goin out again this weekend with kim and boys for crappie and bluegills..will report the catch. get to fishing.....winter's coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fished the Tusc River with my dad last night for 6 hours in the TCBA catfish tournament.......we had live bluegills and creek chubs........we also had cut creek chubs and bluegills and we had ONE run in the 6 hours of fishing time.........the Tusc has been that way since about October 1rst.........lots of hours fishing for very few bites...........weve even tried chicken livers to get a few channel cats and nothing is working right now for us ..........has anyone else ran into a extremely tough ...

We went out in the Tracker launching from mazuriks yesterday and tried around gull shoals after getting ripped off for minnows at the sunco we shouldn't have gone too. Only reason we went there was for convienence but anyways... Leeft and it was rougher than expected but not choppy just big 4 ft. rollers the whole 8 miles or whatever out there. took kim and the boys out for the afternoon to a small odnr pond outside of mccomb. we took waxworms and the boys insisted on redworms. good thing they did. couldnt get hit on wax for anything, so kim put on a redworm and it was on. two 8 inchers right off the bat, then a 1 1/2 pound largemouth; all total we landed over 75 bluegills, with 30 of them being bulls with the big bump on the forehead. the boys were able to catch two frogs with their hands and that kept them occupied for the entire ...

First off had an undecided mind on where to go on Saturday. Ended up think East side of kellys. So we headed straight there about 32 ft. of water. Plenty of boats around. It was slw but decent. The radio sounded bad but we decided to try other places. Moved South of kellys and east of the ferry channel. Caught one fish here within 20min. Then there was a monstorus pack by the light house. Tried it there came up empty. Ended the day with 32 fish. Decent size less throwbacks than there have been.

I was thinking about starting a small white bass tourney for May 1st thru June first. This would have a small entry fee for a weekly contest winner. Then at the end of the month there would be a grand prize winner. To enter your fish (anywhere in Ohio (caught)) you would take a pic of your fish by a tape measure and then I would have a small patch to also be put in the pic to signify it was recently caught. Fishing was sloooow, Went out at daybreak till 11:00 am with my neighbor and took his boat jigged for crappie/eye big fork,game reserve,lucy/dunn ponds.He landed two cats ,me one all keepers good thins is it was fun on light tackle.Water was 67 to 68 degrees, hope it cools down more this next week, hope to try again next Saturday.

Supposedly the crappies are hitting in the marinas. I tried it nothing but small bluegills. Water is down at least 2 feet. Weather is screwy prolly not helping.

This weekend looks good and the night bite should be starting. It looks to be 2ft. or less the perch are hitting everywhere and as far as I know the water isn't screwed up that much

Yesterday we hit up Cranberry for the first time this year. We had a good report from the day Ike rolled in thatthe eyes were crushing out there so we decided to give it a shot. After the 40mi. drive we got there paid $6.00 now to launch! Then headed out. Stright in frontof the castle in 16ft. of water.
